Junior NYO Games!
Izzy was selected to be on her school team for the Junior Native Youth Olympic Games!!! She is competing in the Kneel Jump, Seal Hop, and Stick Pull!!! Now I only know what the stick pull is so I'll have to find out the others! This is so cool!!! =) I'll be sure to post pictures after the event the weekend of February 20th! Sorry, I had to share! I'm beaming right now!!! Yay!

Congratulations to our Native Alaskan! I read up on these and the stick pull is to simulate pulling a seal out of water! It takes upper body strength. I am hoping they are using stuffed seals... One of them is also a balance type of activity that proves you could jump across ice floes... Again, I am hoping there are no real ice floes at the middle school where the competition is. Email me and reassure me okay? What a neat experience for her. I wish we could be there. I love all of your pictures. I am glad you still having such fun learning all that you are learning.
